JavaScript is amazing, but it definitely has its quirks. Let's take a look at those quirks together by diving into the history of how JavaScript has been explained over time by the volunteer editors of Wikipedia. In this talk, we'll explore how JavaScript evolved to be the fully-featured, immensely-powerful language we use today — why it is the way it is, some directions JavaScript didn't go in, and what might still come to the language in the future.
